Position and Responsibilities You will provide electrical engineering oversight for a broad range of projects in Cameco’s major project portfolio. These projects will be executed both within Cameco and by outside consulting companies providing engineering services to Cameco.
The oversight role consists of ensuring engineering work is performed in accordance with Cameco’s processes, procedures, standards and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for developing and integrating electrical design standards for use on all major projects. You will work within a team of engineers and technologists responsible primarily for major project oversight under your direction.
Education and Qualifications You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering accompanied by five to eight years of progressive experience in process and mining operations. You must be eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
Experience in high, medium and low voltage industrial electrical systems, as well as the use of electricity in mineral processing facilities and underground mines is preferred.
You have strong communication skills and work well within a team environment.
Location This position is located in Saskatoon.
