We are currently seeking an Electrical and Instrument Technician for our Uncle Sam, LA location. The position is responsible for maintenance and repair of all electrical and instrumentation equipment in the plant. Successful candidate must possess knowledge of, but not limited to:
Principal Accountabilities:
• Low and medium voltage motors and motor controls, as well as low and medium voltage switchgears
• Pneumatic and electronic instrumentation for measurement of flow, temperature, pH, specific gravity, density, mass flow, conductivity, SO2 analyzers, 15kv power distribution equipment, power transformers, distributed control systems, programming logic controllers, fiber optic data systems and UPS systems
• Read and interpret process flow diagrams, P & I drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, conduit and cable layout drawings, as well as instruction manuals for instrumentation and electrical equipment
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC’s, Allen Bradley VSD’s, F&P single loop controllers, Delta V DCS’s, and GE/Westinghouse motor starters a plus

Position Requirements
Required Education, Experience, Skills:
• High School Diploma is required.
• Technical Degree with a focus in E&I is preferred.
• Work experience in the electrical and instrumentation field.
