Position Description:
Associated Engineering is an employee-owned Canadian company providing consulting engineering services in the transportation, infrastructure, environmental and water sectors.
We are currently searching for an intermediate Electrical Engineer for our Calgary office. The successful candidate will be involved in design and construction of water and wastewater projects, including reservoirs, pump stations, and treatment plants as well as transportation projects. You will be involved in preliminary and detailed design, development of cost estimates and tenders, contract administration, and construction inspection. Candidate must be a self-starter, with strong communication skills. Position has excellent opportunities for advancement.
Requirements:
Candidates should have the following qualifications
An undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
Eligible for professional registration with APEGGA
10 years of relevant consulting experience with a minimum of 5 years Canadian experience.
Experience in design, specifications, cost estimating, tendering, construction, and commissioning
Experience with PLCs and DCS control systems.
Experience with motor, generator and transformer relay protection systems.
Proven technical skills
An excellent command of English language, both written and spoken -Strong organization skills
Committed team player.
Experience using OTI's ETAP and Lighting Analysts Inc. AGI32 software will be considered an asset.
Project management skills are an asset.
