General Information
This position is accountable for providing senior electrical engineering and technical support in
the design, evaluation, procurement, modification and/or installation of facilities and electrical
systems for the plants as well as technical support for operating and maintenance functions to
provide maximum availability, efficiency and safety in the operation of the plants.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and design for the modification and upgrade of plant electrical
systems.
- Provide technical support to all plants requesting assistance relating to major electrical
equipment operation and maintenance.
- Evaluate equipment and system problems, recommend solutions to resolve, provide project
justification and engineering to install.
- Initiate and assure preparation of budget submittals, expense authorizations, and purchase
requisitions for assigned projects.
- Maintain field coordination between consultants, contractors, and material suppliers on
assigned projects to ensure compatibility.
- Provide start-up and test support as necessary on assigned projects.
- Support training for operations and maintenance personnel on electrical and instrument and
control related topics.
Qualifications and Education
To be considered for the position of Senior Electrical Engineer you will need;
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with a registration of Professional Engineer preferred.
- Minimum ten (10) years of practical experience in power plants and sub-station engineering
support.
- Knowledge of power plant operation and maintenance and applicable industry standards.
- Experience providing leadership of engineering and technical groups
- Experience with personal computers and Windows-based applications.

medical. In addition, you must be able to obtain or have TWIC certification.
